There has been much discussion about the ease of use, the op system, flexibility, etc. These are all good points. However, what caused me to switch from an Android tablet to the iPad was simply the overwhelming number of TABLET apps on the Apple platform. I have heard unofficial figures that say iPad tablet apps outnumber the Android tablet apps eight to one. In my experience, this is very much the case. Tablet apps on Android are few and far between. In any given application area (games, readers, productivity, utility, etc) there tend to only be 2 or 3 products, as opposed to the massive number of competing products in the Apple App Store. I loved the Android OS very much, and I prefer my Android phone over the IPhone. But in the end, Android is just ann operating system. I want to actually do things with the tablet, not just enjoy the experience. For that reason alone, Apple gets my nod for now.
