Is this worth it?

I don't know squat about reloading, but hope to venture into that realm some day. My question is, is this worth 40-50 bucks?

No. Shotshells are still cheap enough. If you were shooting in volume to warrant a reloader a new or used Mec shotshell reloader would be the way to go.

I picked up a Lee loadall in 12 ga at a gunshow last year for $10 just to have on hand incase something happened and i needed one, already have a Mec 600 jr in 20 ga. So there is some out there worth having on hand for that just in case situation but like was said if you dont shoot much just cheaper to buy at the store unless you are casting your own shot or slugs.
