Passed with good intentions, banning guns would supposedly make schools safer."....."With just one exception, every public mass shooting in the USA since at least 1950 has taken place where citizens are banned from carrying guns. Despite strict gun regulations, Europe has had three of the worst six school shootings."

Orwell nailed it in Animal Farm and I've not come across anybody that's done it better. His allegory exposed the human condition of rulemakers establishing rules for all but themselves. The sad part is we have nobody to blame but ourselves for allowing such behavior to continue without being called out.
