I collected numbers that I felt were from reliable and accurate sources from around the internet. Not included were numbers that were too unclear and also numbers that had a Letter in front of it.
https://www.gunvaluesboard.com/model-335-double-barrel-production-years-and-value-16731438.html https://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=390445 From this site [I][B]This is my research so far. It all started out when I was trying to find out what year my J. Steven Arms Co., Double Barrel, S x S, Model 335 Shotgun was made. I pretty quickly learned that there are no records available as they were reportedly destroyed in a fire. I decided to start collecting Serial Numbers to try to determine what year, or approx what year, my gun was made. Below is my list so far. I collected numbers that I felt were from reliable and accurate sources from around the internet. Not included were numbers that were too unclear and also numbers that had a Letter in front of it. I found a handfull of those and they still don't make any sense to me. Feel free to add any info and more reliable numbers to the list. BTW, my number is 847XX. By my research it appears, so far anyway, that my gun was made in the mid 20's. I also kept the last 2 numbers off the originals as I feel it serves no purpose in the research. The more numbers we can add will help us all who are trying to determine the year of their gun, or as accurate as we can anyway. J. Stevens Arms and Tool Co.
