I've been BJJ'ing for 15 years. And I jacked up my right pec muscle last week somehow. It popped and now just putting down my coffee mug or pushing open a door hurts. But it's getting better each day, slowly. With that being said, just start out with 3 days a week and work your way up. Jumping in with both feet without a conditioned body certainly increases the injury risks. Just take it easy. The world isn't supposed to end until December. You have time.
