A harmless non-poisonous Speckled King snake munching on a poisonous Copperhead snake.

One of my Boy Scouts asked me, “Sir, is this snake poisonous?”
I said, “No, that snake’s not poisonous at all.”
So the boy picked up the snake which promptly bit him. The boy started to spasm and foam at the mouth as the other kids looked on in horror.
I continued, “But that snake is venomous. Poison is ingested or absorbed, while venom is injected. Let’s get it right next time, boys.”

I used to catch a few of the red black yellow banded king snakes when I was a kid and a couple got away from me. got out of my pocket in the house.
I was told to quit bringing snakes into the house.
I assumed they were king snakes.
But more likely a milk snake.. Friendly though.

Perfect situation for a square nose shovel, garden hoe, gallon of gasoline or a .357 with snek loads........anything bad ass enough to kill and eat a copperhead is a bad mofo in its own right
