I am looking into getting a new pocket knife and am considering getting one of the complete knife kits at knifekits.com. Has anyone had experience with their products? How tuff are they? Do the blades hold an edge? Any suggestions on which one to get?

I've built several of their folders and fixed blade kits. The blades are good steel and come sharp and hold an edge very well.

There are several local knife makers in the area and some of them forge their own blades. I know there will be at the Tulsa show this weekend go by and talk to them. You will find a wealth of information from them.

I put one of their kits together and it seems like a fairly decent knife to me. It's no Benchmade, but still a decent knife.

I have never bought any knifes from them but other stuff, real fast shipment and cheaper than most others. Post some pics and a report when you get done, I have been wanting to do the same thing. Good luck.
