In my mind there are gun manufacturers and gun assemblers. Redjacket is a gun assembler that tries to position themselves to be a gun manufacturer. I'd call Rock River Arms a gun manufacturer, they invest in a lot of research and have come up with truly innovative products based off of core of mass produced gun parts. I'd also say the same about the Tromix guys. Redjacket at most invests in reverse engineering the work of other gun manufacturers. To me the fatal quality flaw of reverse engineering is that you may not fully understand why it was engineered that way in the first place. That means you can't fine tune it to perform optimally. If you just want an assembled gun there are plenty of options out there, especially in the AR market. I wouldn't pay top dollar for a something like that. The fact that the show paints a picture of the people who run Red Jacket in an unfavorable light is the fault of Will and everyone else who agrees to be on that show. If they really aren't like what they come across as on TV they have no one else to blame bu themselves. If you are going to try and sell yourself as part of the brand of your company, then you are going to get what you get. No one forces them to take the money to do that show.
