Gonna take The Wife and The Boy on a little getaway. 2-3 nights. Looking for a cabin in the woods, hopefully near a lake or river, something like that. Things to do during the day. I'm not so much on hiking (too fat! lol), but water stuff is nice - canoe a little, some fishing off a dock or boat rental would be cool. Nice comfy air-conditioned cabin with a deck and a grill, full kitchen, a hot tub would be nice. I'll probably bring my FireTV and my NAS or a bunch of BluRays for movies in the evenings. I'm looking at a few over at Beaver Lake near Eureka Springs, there are a bunch of nice ones down at Broken Bow Lake, as well. That's probably in the range we're looking to travel, 3-4 hours from the Tulsa area at most. We'll probably be looking at like the 23rd-3rd as far as our window. Open to ideas. I just want to get away. Want to be comfortable. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I figure a coupla hundred a night for what we're looking at, which is equivalent to a nice hotel room in the city or something. *ALSO - If anyone knows how to get ahold of @FamousAJ, I know he has a place on Grand Lake. I'm looking for a place to rent for about 8 men in August to do a men's getaway and "manhood induction" weekend/ceremony for my boy, he's turning 13. I'm not sure how many his house over there sleeps, but I thought I'd talk to him and see. He hasn't answered the phone number I have for him, maybe he's changed it. Open to other ideas for this getaway as well.
