I worked at K-Mart when in college many years ago. Chasing shoplifters was common, especially during the Christmas season. One time, I tackled a guy that was stealing shoes. The old lady who managed the shoe department grabbed one of the shoes he was stealing and started beating him on the head with the shoe. Security had to pull her off of him .
Not surprised they treated their employees like this.
Academy is lame. Ever bought a gun there? They add in so much BS… “if this gun is stolen and used to commit a crime it will come back on you” “sign these 5 extra forms on top of what’s legally required” “here’s a stack of pamphlets because we assume you’re a newbie moron” etc
