Gun confiscation... a scary thought. But like someone turning into a vampire or a werewolf, I don’t really believe it can happen. No, it can and will never happen on any large scale kind of thing in this country. As long as the U. S. of America exists as a country anyway. Why? Logistics, plain and simple; it would be an enormous, virtually impossible task to confiscate all the guns in this country. (Just trying to load up all of Old Man Hoddy’s guns and his huge stockpile of Ammo alone gives me a headache). LOL. Seriously though, the vast amount of manpower required, the sheer numbers of “confiscators”needed to go to the homes, businesses, cabins, storage sheds, trucks, cars, and on people’s bodies to physically seize all the firearms people have in this country is a task simply too large to be realistic. Plus, the collection and transportation and then the storage or disposal poses a similar problem. Add to that the fact that there would be a huge uprising; a revolt unlike any ever seen before fighting against tyranny... and it just won’t work. Oh sure, I believe some far left extremists would love for guns to just become outlawed. Well, they will just have to be content with their delusions; it’s not happening. Not here. Maybe Great Britain and Australia can be their examples, but that’s just the background scenery they play in their little brains as they dream of a gun-free society, with rainbows and ponies, and free cable TV service, and universal health care and free college and good, high paying jobs for everybody and gay and HGTV people wearing the other genders undies in Congress and an end to all violence and crime. (It’s for the children, after all). I’m sure many will agree that it’s really guns that made us a free society and sadly, it may someday come back to guns keeping us as a free society as well. Now on a small scale? By city? County? Even state? Yes and ... maybe. If we are talking a small, mostly blue state, it could be initiated and enjoy limited success, becoming less and less successful as the numbers grow. But don’t try that in a place like Oklahoma. Or Texas, or Arizona or other red gun culture free states of similar make-up. And damn sure don’t come to my house and try it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
