Just heard some of the BLM speaker's press conference in OKC, I was getting a more positive view of BLM, but I'm backing out of that a bit. The one lady said it was wrong for the police to declare the protest unlawful when people started throwing stuff at the police, and use rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the crowd. When asked how should police disperse a crowd, it seemed she basically said throwing stuff at police isn't that bad, and people get hurt from rubber bullets and tear gas. The main woman leader said (paraphrasing) white supremacy has been going on for 400 years and it's time to stop. If their demands aren't met then they will be taking actions. She said non-violent, but also said when people are angry violence and damage might happen. That sounds like taking a city hostage, gangsters demanding protection money from businesses. I agree that change is needed, but this rubs me the wrong way.
