Well, it's one thing to marginalize something like MJ, treat it a the devil's gateway drug for decades in education then then wonder why it's not taken more seriously. MJ has an image issue for many our country. Not saying it's not totally deserved, but it does have an uphill battle for legitimacy given the years of campaigns against it. And as i said early in this thread, my wife was prescribed the synthetic version by a doctor in memphis (with hospital privileges and all) after few of the other meds available had ann effect on her headache (with the ones that did often having worse side effects than headache). One drug's warnings, i kid you not, said it might cause headaches... Just because other drugs can 'work' doesn't make them better. And while i agree that few doctors would recommend smoking something, there are many ways to take MJ without smoking it. In regards to the use of drugs that work 'better', i should add that one doctor at the Mayo Clinic put my wife on a drug because it was shown to be 75% successful. The study he cited had 4 people in it with the diagnose he thought my wife had (a thing called a New Daily Persistent Headache). When asked what she should do if this drug didn't work, he responded 'well, have you tried acupuncture and meditation?'
