I’ve seen two in person. First one was about 10 years ago in (Hughes county) Spaulding on my 160 acres. My grandfather and I were walking a brush trail and I turned left to over look a pond. Saw an adult mountain lion on the other side raising his head from a drink and made eye contact with me from about 60 yards. He turned slowly and calmly and walked back into the thick timber... we move our asses straight back to the truck (somewhat calmly lol). Since then I’ve also found tracks and there was a sighting at the school in Calvin, OK just a few miles away a few months back. Second one was last year leaving my sister in laws house in (Washita County) Cordell. We were about 5 minutes out of downtown on hwy 152 and the tractors running at night must have pushed the cat out towards the road as it ran around 20 yards ahead of us across the highway as we were driving 50mph. It almost got ran over but I recall the nice long strides it made as it went into the ditch and under another fence.
