Interesting read. Not surprised at the application of "Chicago style" politics but very disappointing to see such a lack of ethics and integrity by academics.
Mayor Daley is a real POS. So are the citizens of Chicago, who elected him Mayor all these years.
Mr. Lott should have the satisfaction of knowing that he would not be singled out for this kind of treatment if his work was not having a strong effect. Way to fight the good fight, Mr. Lott.

That's actually pretty mild compared to what I was expecting from Daley's thugs. He could have wound up with a pair of broken legs!
