Need a cardiologist in Norman.

My long time M.D. is in Del City and he wants me to have a stress test done but he has a tendency to refer me to specialists in OKC and I'd like one here in Norman and I don't just want to pick one blind just in case something else needs to be done after the findings of the stress test are in.....so I'm looking for a recomendation.

I'm with Blue Cross Blue Shield at work and most of the cardios in Norman work out of the new Health Plex on I-35......my BCBS listed options are;

Katherine Hays....Norman Ayers....Michael Sellers....Muhammad Anwar....Muhammad Salim....Michael Villano....Jeffery Cook....Gautam Archana.

Anyone had any experience (good or bad) with any of the above or know someone that has ?

Michael Sellers. He's the reason my hubby is alive today. Also my neighbor who had such a serious heart attack that they kept him in an induced coma for two weeks. His whole team is fantastic although you'll find his PA Angie to be a little ditzy sometimes.
His partner Jeffrey Crook is a good one too if you can't get on Dr Sellers calendar.

i'll second Dr. Sellers and Crook. My former employer does their medical billing so we work closely with them. he and his group are all great and really do some great things.

My 90 year old father has seen Dr. Villano. I've been impressed with Dr. Villano's manner and the time he took to answer our questions and help us.
I can highly recommend him.

Based on the experiences above I had my M.D. make a appointment with Dr. Sellers towards the end of next month.

I just selected a new cardiologist. Dr Norman.....picked him because I live by Norman...and my dogs name is Norman...so I figured his name would be easy to remember. OK.....maybe I'm not the best person to ask.

You might want to think a bit north. The cardiologists associated with OU Medical Center just the other side of downtown are truly world class. I know they saved my butt with some out of the ordinary surgery a few years ago.
