You know I got started in reloading when I was a kid because my round (7.7 Ariska) was hard to find and expensive.
I stayed in reloading because it allowed me to shoot a lot more for the same money.
I never really saw the big savings until I started casting.
I don't know why more people don't cast......

I think it's just one more step in the progression. Requires equipment and commitment to the process.

It's funny because our founders HAD to cast their own bullets. I shutter to think of the day that may come where we must do the same.

One upside is you can get into it fairly inexpensive.
I've had expensive molds over the years, but use mostly Lee now.
The Lee push thru sizers are inexpensive also.
Wheel weight will work for just about any caliber if you keep the speed down.
Then there are gas checks for faster stuff.
Unfortunately the GC's have goten pricey.
But there is a company (Gaschecks) that makes tools for making your own out of pop cans.
I've got one for a oddball caliber and it works fine.
