2 Questions: What type of paperwork is involved if an individual wants to make a suppressor for their own personal use?



What would you charge to provide materials and subject matter expertise to someone building their own suppressor?


first if you live in tulsa you need to set up a gun trust then
An ATF form 1 and $200 to build it yourself. you can get one from the atf.gov site.
for materials and support I can steer you in the right direction.

That would cost you a whole lot more than you'd be willing to pay, I promise. Somewhere around 10 years and $250,000 IIRC. :)

Actually you can LEGALLY make your own can, I've got a good friend who's been tinkering in smithing for years, he takes classes at the local community college. Last year for a class he actually got ATF approval to make his own can, had to get the tax stamp and go through the normal channels, but it can be done at least in NC. I can ask him what additional paperwork he had to fill out to make it if you'd like.
