On Dec. 10, 2021, URI’s Honorary Degree Committee conducted a review of Gen. Flynn and Mayor Giuliani’s cases and voted to revoke their honorary degrees based on their “findings.” The two Trump supporters suddenly did not fit the requirements to be honored at the esteemed university.

As a civic institution, URI has the privilege and responsibility to sustain and preserve American democracy by inspiring and modeling good citizenship. Revoking these honorary degrees reinforces our values and allows us to lead with truth and integrity,” Parlange argued.

It is the liberal Democrat mentality that is attacking all those that have supported Trump and that are or have been outspoken. The Soviet Union did it better, they arrested and had a kangaroo court and imprisoned or executed the opposition. However, in this country the Democrats with all their venom and power cannot arbitrarily imprison people nor execute them so far. Although there are still protestors from Jan 6th 2021 that are still languishing behind bars which is years gone by would have been released pending legality matters. They have been abused and beaten by guards, refused the opportunity to bathe themselves and any number of things that we take for granted daily.
I see the direction that politicians are taking this country and I fear for our freedoms-our basic human rights that are threatened on a near daily basis by those who claim to be leaders in Washington DC. They aren't leaders, they are demagogues who are intent upon destroying what we have fought for over the decades. When we vote, we shouldn't vote for the person with the most eloquent speech-didn't Hitler have a way of mesmerizing the masses with his speech? And we know what happened in the intervening years... I believe that this nation is in real trouble, the likes that have never been seen in our lives nor the lives of our fathers.

The degree is honorary. They can do what they want with it. He did not earn it through taking courses or study at the college.
It is a BS Bull Sheiite degree.
