OHP Radar Band

I routinely commute 650-700 miles per week in state. Looking at getting a radar detector.

Does anyone know what radar band the OHP uses, i.e. X-Highway, K, Ka 34.7 or Ka 35.5?

If the Radar has the right features and the officer knows what he is doing, radar detectors are useless.

OKC, Edmond, MWC use Ka for the most part.
I've seen mostly X and an occasional Ka for OHP. But the motorcycle gents and some of the SUV OHP's... They use POP and LiDAR.
I agree with GC, just keep it within 2-3 of the speed limit on the highway. There's no sense in wasting funds on an automatic ticket generator.

Wow. 2-3? Hard asses! 20 years ago when I was in the bag the general rule was, "9 you're fine. 10 you're mine." That is unless I needed PC for a stop for other purposes.

They also don't help much if they are lighting you up only when they see you. Ask me how I know...
