Lifetime Concealed Handgun License Bill Introduced in Oklahoma Friday, February 05, 2010 On Tuesday, February 2, House Bill 3124 was introduced and referred to the House Public Safety Committee. No hearing has been scheduled. Authored by State Representative Joe Dorman (D-65), HB3124 would create an optional lifetime concealed handgun license. If enacted into law, this legislation would become effective November 1, 2010 and the permit fee would be $500. However, Oklahomans would still be able to obtain a five-year permit for $100 or $85 for a renewal. Indiana is currently the only state with an optional lifetime concealed carry permit and it is important that we express to our legislators that Oklahoma would like to be next. Please contact the members of the House Public Safety Committee and respectfully urge them to support HB3124. Contact information can be found below. State Representative Sue Tibbs (R-23) Chair (918) 663-3915 suetibbs@okhouse.gov State Representative Steve Martin (R-10) Vice Chair (405) 557-7402 stevemartin@okhouse.gov State Representative Glen Bud Smithson (D-2) (405) 557-7315 glensmithson@okhouse.gov State Representative Chuck Hoskin (D-6) (405) 557- 7319 chuck.hoskin@okhouse.gov State Representative Paul D.
