Not likely. The last I heard was that Cimarron county was where the errant troopers were sent. Texas county isn't far enough out.
Wrong.
Cimarron County gets mostly the DOT troopers that Only look at semi trucks coming through.
Texas County gets the rookies.

I know a guy that was a TX state trooper that wrecked his cop car and got a DWI right after leaving a state trooper picnic, and surprisingly, he lost his job.
It never ceases to amaze me what some people will do. It's like doctors diddlin' their patients during an exam. I mean wtf go to all the trouble and expense to get where you wanna be in life and then toss it all away like that?? I cannot even tell you some of the things I've personally seen lawyers do.
ETA: I'm not saying I haven't done some stupid **** in my life, I'm just saying I at least tried to minimize my odds of getting caught.
