I've been chasing which optic(s) I want to run for (best bang for the buck type searching) a while and because of that have ended up with a little bit of everything. I haven't ventured into top-tier optics and haven't really settled on one reticle (other than preference towards mil/mil). I picked up a couple Bushnell LRHSi through GAP and haven't taken them out to the range but have been impressed so far and am planning on using them on 6.5 grendel builds. I picked up an Athlon Cronus BTR and now can't decide if I want that on a 300WM or 6.5CM or if I want to save up for another one (I was pleasantly surprised by the Cronus). I have a couple Athlon Midas BTRs and between those and the Cronus I have really been drawn to the Christmas tree style reticles. I have a Bushnell DMR in mil-dot that I think needs to move along and I'd be happy to replace it with another DMR with the G2 reticle. I don't know how I feel about FFP vs SFP and when I'd prefer one over the other (or if I'd ever prefer one over the other) since, until recently, I've only ever used SFP scopes. I start my kids with simple cross-hair reticles, Sig tango3s or SWFA or Vortex Crossfire scopes. I want them to focus on all the other aspects of shooting a rifle without thinking about anything besides put the cross-hairs on the target. Still can't bring myself to even consider Nightforce, Kahles, Schmidt, March, or any of the other top tier players (yet).
