I agree, I enjoy this place or I wouldn't log on every free minute I have lol. I know some don't care for me and I know I'm on a few ignore list but hey, if we all agreed and got along perfect, what a boring place life would be. I've learned a lot here, changed my thinking a lot over the years and hope I have shared a bit of knowledge to someone else. That's all we really can hope for in life anyway I guess. Running a forum can be easy or difficult depending on the size of membership. I ran and administered a forum once for about 6 years but it was a small niche of guys all running used vegi oil for fuel in diesel engines (yes, that is a very real thing and I did it for over 200k miles). The group was always focused strictly on that topic and there was 0 talk of politics or anything else. That made it easy. I was forum admin and also the go to guy for troubleshooting the engine/fuel system conversion we ran as well as part owner in the company as a new system designer. Just like OSA, it had a common topic, here its guns but how much can a real large group actually talk about guns when they aren't designing new platforms or experimenting with a new design of ammo or slide, barrel...etc. That forum was easy to run other than trying to promote it and get more members all the time. So the admin here, is absent all the time and that's a fundamental problem. He should be on here every day promoting something to do with firearms, 2A, ammo reloading, buying, selling...but he is not. I've considered buying this forum and running it the proper way, and for the most part, it runs itself pretty well, but so does an airplane with 300 million miles on it, until it doesnt.
