[QUOTE="kalebiscool, post: 1194733, member: 10270"] I actually have a friend that had a terrible experience there. We went and tried to purchase those $299 Taurus .40 cal that are 92 knock offs on the same day. i brought mine home, while he had to wait for the Brady office to call back.(always happens to him, but he is too lazy to get a UPIN). I think the law states they have 5 business days to get back with the store holding the firearm and if no call is returned you go pick your gun up at the store. Academy does not abide by this. They will wait until they get the call. To make a long story short it was 73 days before he was holding his gun. he called back every week, and the place on 240 and walker just brushed him off until a month went by and he was told they canceled the transaction and sold the gun to someone else. He was offered the chance to come back in and fill the paperwork out again but they did not offer him the sale price as by this time it had gone off sale. after some derogatory language he did eventually receive the gun for the original sale price. anyway i know it is not academy's fault that a person gets delayed, but they made it a huge hassle. wow... guess i did not make that story short.
