Well, after buying my first SKS back in December, I decided I wanted another one that is in original condition. The first one had been modified quite a bit by previous owners. Because of that, I had no issues with modifying it further. So, it's now wearing a Tapco stock for compliance reasons (and the fact that I like to tinker).
So, I ordered a 59/66A1 from Samco. I will say you have to have some patience when ordering from them. I never got a good feeling that anyone I talked to knew much about my order. Took me a week to get an order number and another week to get a tracking number. And when I tracked the package, it was already sitting at my FFL. So, that was 15 days from the date of the order. I'm not complaining too much as I'm sure they've been slammed.
BTW, big thanks to reddog1. He is great to work with. I went to pick it up fro him last night. To me, it seems pretty nice. All numbers match...at least I think I can say that? The ONLY part with electo-stenciling is the underside of the rear sight ladder. With that being said, can I say "all numbers match"?
