To me the hypocrisies can start when you believe there can be only one god in existence. This worked well when there were only a few clusters of civilizations widely scattered around the world several thousands of years ago. Each area had their one god. Now you can be on the other side of the world in a few hours in a different culture whose primary one god is different than yours. If you think about it, look at the fact that primarily the culture where you grew up and formed your thoughts and values in the world is the primary deciding factor of what one god you believe in. Now we have such a mix of people re-locating to different countries that from a religious point of view we are in a mess of bits and pieces. Because there are some people that think if you do not believe like them, you should be killed. This has happened with many religions through the years in the past, even the new religion of Christianity, and will most likely continue in the future. What is interesting to me is that over the tens of thousands of years, virtually all the religions have a common makeup of structure, the names are changed, but the moral to the stories are similar with the end result trying to be accomplished being fairly similar. All promote that my one god is the only one god in the universe. To me, religion is a personal thing. I have my thoughts and my beliefs, you are welcome to have yours. If mine bothers you, go some where else, do not try to force me to change mine.
