Does anyone know anything about the PPS-43C. How avaiable is the ammo? I seen one on the Classic Arms website, looks like it would be fun to shoot. can you remove the folded stock, and do away with it?

Ammo is 7.62x35. It can be found on line pretty easy. For the most part if you buy it in bulk as in military surplus you can get more than a thousand rounds for less than a hundred bucks.

As for the PPS-43 it was a Russian machine gun during the second world war. These guns were demilled and then made out of parts kits into semi autos here in the USA. They were a cheep mass produced gun like the Sten IIIs made out of stamped sheet metal. The PPS-43s have a folding stock on them like the German MP40. The folding stock is weilded in the closed position to comply and classify this as a pistol.
