ProMag Magazine for AR-15 Question

i took my AR-15 to the range yesterday and started with 40 rounds of American Eagle FMJ's, they went through my ProMag Magazine flawlessly. Next i tried to use American Eagle JHP's and had nothing but trouble in both magazines. i was getting jams, the bullet was being pushed back into the brass, dents in my brass. anything i am doing wrong here or are these ProMags crap or do they just like a certain type of ammo?? any help with do, thank you.

Try a different mag. Buy a pmag and you can eliminate magazine malfunctions from the equation.

Ok, truth be told I do want to try the new Surefire mags.
