Sure, you're not a corporation who bases his success on his bottom line. You're not Romney or even Obama rich (or are you?)
J.B., in all seriousness I think Romney released some of his tax records but won't go any further because if he releases 5 years of them, the media, Harry Reid, etc. will ask for 6. If he gives in and releases 6, they'll ask for 7 and so on and so on. If I were in Romney's position, I wouldn't give them any more than what I felt comfortable with because no matter what they'll make a big deal out of what I DIDN'T do, rather what I DID do. I do agree with you that he only released 2 years worth because if the American people see how much he's really paying in taxes, it WILL alienate some who buy into the class warfare meme. (Personally, I DON'T trust the rich, I know they're not out for my best interests and vote my conscience. But it's sure better than becoming the failed quasi-socialist mess that Europe is in and that seems to be the only alternative anybody is offering to corporate greed) Speaking of class warfare, you spend a lot of time telling us Re-poo-blicans how we turn a blind eye to corporate greed and how the rich are out to take our souls and livelihoods and that we shouldn't trust them but we ignore it. You have spent many a thread describing your net worth and what you pay in taxes every quarter and it's SURE a lot more than mine and my family. So why should I trust YOU? Sure, you're not a corporation who bases his success on his bottom line. You're not Romney or even Obama rich (or are you?) Probably work hard, serving those who need representation (and many of us do), do a lot of pro bono work...... but at the end of the day, you take home some damn good money. You live with wealth that most of us will never see. In my eyes, that makes you the very thing you warn us to beware of.
