I have a chance to buy a model 34 . but can I switch it to shoot .40 S&W with out doing a loan at the bank, or should I just move on and forget the deal. would be nice to have one that converted real easy ;)
Thanks

Hi,

You can usually get a 9mm conversion barrel for the 40/357 models, but not a 40/357 conversion barrel for the 9mm models. 9mm = stays 9mm.

Good luck,

Alan

Hey Mike, not real sure about all the conversions, since I'm not into 40, but for a range use Glock the 34 is the one to get.
