Picked this up today at my local pawn shop. And the price you ask. 10.00 yep you heard me right. I love pawnshops sometimes. It’s a bone white buck 105View attachment 251281
Really nice, unusual Buck. Is that a "402" or "115"size? I find the traditional black Micarta Buck hande material is "slick as snot" with blood on it to the point of being dangerous. The rubber coated Buck handles are great for skinning, gutting game.

I've gutted well over 200 deer and 10 elk with a Buck Special in Micarta. They can get a little slick but never had any issues. Chopped many limbs before using the same blade to work on a deer never losing the edge.
They used to be made from 440C stainless. I see the new Bucks have changed the steel alloy to S35V or S30V. Not sure how that alloy compares to the original steel they used.

As a retired mechanic, {40+yrs}, pawn shops have always been a favorite place to shop. I've found good Buck knives at some, and not so good ones there. I was given a very nice 100 Yr anniversary Buck, with it's original 119 scabbard, but discover that the blade had a nick in it. Called Buck, sent it to them, and got it back in about 2 weeks. could not even tell that it was ever damaged.
