Not much into 22s, but recently traded for a Ruger Mark 3 four inch tapered barrel blue model with 2 mags and box. And a Mossberg Plinkster 702.

What is everyones opinion on these two 22s?

I chuckled when I read your post.

Not because it was funny in and of itself,,,
But because that's one of my rifle-handgun pairs.

I like to pair rifles with an appropriate handgun,,,
Such as my CZ-512 being paired with a Browning Buckmark pistol.

Or my Henry (stainless single-shot bolt rifle) Acu-Bolt rifle,,,
I paired that with a stainless steel Rossi 511 revolver.

I've had the Mossie Plinkster for a few years now,,,
Like Catt57 said, it's a great out of the box performer.

When looking for a decent handgun to pair up with it,,,
A 6" Mk-III standard barrel just looked right.

So yeah, in my not-so-humble opinion,,,
I think you have a nice pair there.

The Mark 3 is a fine pistol. Don't have an opinion on the 702

This. But, have you taken the MK III apart for cleaning yet? Put it back together? Did ya cuss and sweat and cuss some more? Bang up yer knuckles? Yep; that's the Ruger MK III I know and...both love/hate. Excellent shooters and like all Ruger MK pistols (Mk I - Mk IV and the .2/45 versions), they will last forever. However, they are a real pain to take apart and reassemble, at least the first few times. If I had been near a body of water the first time I tore that thing down, I would have thrown the cursed thing as far out into it as I could.

Majestic Arms speed strip kit will remedy the difficult reassembly and it comes with a magazine disconnect that will allow you to fire with the mag removed. It also improves the trigger pull.

By the way 1911master:

If you want a pair of Tech Sights GI-Aperture sights for the 702,,,
I have a pair I will sell you at a bargain price.

They work as advertised and I like them,,,
But my eyes got old so I finally scoped the rifle.

They go for $69.00 + $11.00 shipping and handling,,,
I'll sell them to you for $55.00 total,,,
And I'll cover the shipping.
