18" is pretty much the standard, but plinking sub-moa at 50yds is easy out of a quality 16". Skip the brake/comps, they do nothing but look cool and collect fouling. You can play around with contour and such to lighten them up, but you can squeeze some light accuracy out of a hybrid carbon fiber/aluminum sleeved barrel.

Subscribed...I wouldn't mind doing a little work to mine as well. Have you done any work to improve the trigger pull? I added a drop in hammer/sear from Power Customs and like it.

I would take a look at Fedderson for a barrel. They are every bit as good as KIDD when it comes to barrels. With that said, KIDD triggers are the most amazing thing EVER! Fedderson is a RFC sponsor and there are several reviews there is you look. KIDD makes great barrels too, just giving you another option.
