I'd never part with my 617. Definitely my favorite gun.

Not Smith & Wesson's but what's wrong with owning a pair of Colt Trooper Mk III's in .357 Mag and .22 LR,,,

And my newest matched pair,,,
9mm CZ-75B and a .22 LR CZ-75B Kadet,,,

Keep an eye out for a 51 (J frame) or a 48 (K frame). There may be some other models but that's the only two I can think of at the moment. Problem, is they don't come along too often.

Another problem is that 22 Mag is damn near the cost of 9mm! Sure is fun though.

You also have the J-frame 651 in 4" and 2", and the 650 3" fixed sight RB. Its really to bad S&W never made a K-frame similar to the 67, as they did with the 15 and 18.

Saw a 48 at the show today at was ~reasonably~ priced. This rimfire Smiths usually hold their value pretty well.

Best bargins out there right now are the 14-3, and 17-3 in .38spl an .22lr. S&W made the most in these series, and the prices are reasonable for now, it won't last forever!!
