s&w serial number question

at one point in 1975 they ended with 9k1 then started over with 8k20000.there is no indication that they continued with the 9k numbers after that though

Look at the 1975 date codes, you've got two runs 8K20764-9K1; 8K20000-9K100000. Thats where yours falls.

You didn't look far enough, 8k20000-9k100000, thats where yours is.
