A customer was recently refused by both and this is nothing new. I've even spoken to the DA and he was totally ignorant and misinformed on anything NFA. The Sheriff even went so far as to tell my customer " You'll only get in trouble with that." It was a rimfire can. I'll donate money to anyone with a lick of common sense that runs against either one.

What an idiot. He needs to be replaced.

Anyways, anyone trying to get an NFA item should just do it through a trust and you can bypass the Sheriff altogether. He still needs to be replaced though!!

I believe that once BATFE gets print & photo requirements implemented for all responsible parties on a Trust, the CLEO signature requirement will go away.
