If he votes no later and this still passes, how will you explain that this vote didn't matter?
Even if it passes the Senate, I seriously doubt it will pass the House. Either way, I will refrain from judgement until a vote on the bill actually occurs.
One Dem from Conneticut made a statement before the vote that he wants to pass this because there currently is NO FEDERAL law against a person buying a firearm and knowingly selling it to a prohibited person...

B) These people who vote YES on debate, but then vote NO on the final bill. . .are you voting YES to debate because you don't know how you'll vote (in which case you are out of touch with your people) or are you voting YES with the belief that the bill will ultimately fail (in which case you are voting to waste the time of the Senate)?

Would even allowing this to progress this far not be in violation of the Constitution to begin with? Wouldn't that be breaking the oaths of all these politicians? They swore to uphold it correct?
Maybe the Republicans should put up pictures of children that have been saved from death by somebody with a gun.
Coburn IS a liar I dont care what some of you say. Anyone that is for the constitution wouldnt vote yes, period . They would vote no. Why would you want to have it move forward?? There is no reason to. Unless you hope that it will pass. He comes out trying to convince you and me that he supports the 2A but when he is faced with opposition in Washington he folds like a lawn chair.
