The shooter was taken down by a member of Majority Whip Scalise's protective detail, who was himself already wounded.

Watching NBC, repeated reference to "high powered" rifle, even though they know very little of what happened. Now one is saying it sounded like an AR15. Always interesting to see how quickly the media slant of any story comes to the front of the discussion.
A sign of the times, all the hatred over the past eight years, Pelosi, Schumer, Waters, et al. All the hate speech has to stop, it's wrong, unAmerican and evil. It's not just one person, it's many. This shooting is a sad commentary and will generate more antigun sentiment from the left but it was the guns of the Capitol Police that prevented further injuries.
