shell holders

I have a newly aquired Lee Challenger press with a Hornady die but I am missing the shell holder. Looking at H&H and Bass Pro I am unable to get the shell holder in question. Do I have to have to use the Lee brand, or can I use a RCBS or Hornady if I come across them?

No you don't have to stay with Lee shellholders. RCBS/Hornady shellholders should work fine.

I started doubting myself so I checked.

I was able to fit both RCBS and Hornady brand shellholders in a Lee "Reloader" press. So you're good to go with any of these three brands, almost certainly Lyman, Dillon, Redding, CH3D, etc too but I don't have any of those to test.

223 is in fact what I am missing, I am also in the market for 40 SW dies and shell holder if anyone is in the position of turning one loose

I just bought one of the Lee sets that have like 10 or 12 different ones in it. A single was like $3 and the set was like $7.

Where did you find them? I have checked Midway USA (backordered until late March) and Bass Pro/H&H and not been able to locate them.
