It is that time of year again and the Akdar Shrine here in Tulsa will have the Fez wearing Shriners at different locations around town selling those sweet, fresh from the farms in Vidalia county Georgia onions !! Stop by and pick up a bag or two and support them and their hospitals !! If anyone needs any and don't know where to find them just message me here or call me at 918-695-3808, Only $10.00 for a 10 lb. bag !

For those who have not tried them, Vidalia onions are a whole new ball game when it comes to onions. Very sweet and with a great flavor. I buy a bunch every year, chop them and portion in snack bags, place those in gallon freezer bags and put in the deep freeze. I have them almost all year round for soups, stews and other recipes. This year I bought a 42 lb case. The chopping has begun. :D

Almost forgot, also good if you take the outer layer from a large onion, stuff like you would a stuffed pepper, wrap in bacon and either grill or smoke.
