I grew up around #19 on the list.
On Feb 2nd of 1996 the low was -23 before the wind chill and with the chill it was around -50. Going outside to deal with the animals and make sure they all had water and that the tank heaters were working really sucked that day to say the least. That was one of the last days of the cold snap that had lasted for a week or so but didn't quite beat the record.
