Oh hell yeah!

I was just telling someone today I would just about give up not only my left one, but also my right one, if I could play like Stevie Ray!

Then I would be worthless to anyone else because all I would do is sit around and play guitar all day, but I sure would be happy!

Granted, the guy has an incredible talent for making the guitar talk, but I hate his voice. I swear, I want to punt puppies every time I hear him sing. Eric Clapton has the same effect on me. KILLER guitarist..but vocals..not so much.

I have never been fanatic about anyone, but SRV is as close as I have come.

I have yet to acquire it. He is yet another nasal singer with his mouth full of marbles, (the same goes for Tom Petty). Don't get me wrong, some people can really put it out there and have enough passion to make everything else oblivious. Janis had that passion...SRV had a guitar. I can listen to Stevie play, he's a god on the strings, but when he opens his mouth ...I'm done.

SRV is one of my favorite guitarists.

I like to listen when he plays, really enjoy it. But I too am not a fan of his singing. LOL!

You guys must not be blues music fans.

If you listen to any of the old blues artists that influenced a lot of the later artists that made it big, none of them had great singing voices.

Its all about the feel, the passion, the soul they put into their music.
