You will not be able to tell the difference. You might with a tungsten rod. The real benefit of either is the ability to change springs. The G32 is definitely undersprung from the factory and could use a stiffer spring rate.

I'll add to your confusion: heavier springs may make your action feel "snappier" because more energy is usde to overcome, then return, the slide.

To offer a practical suggestion, buy a Wolff 3-pack of the optional weights, and give them each a run. I've run heavier springs in a G17 when shooting Hirtenberger, many moons ago, but aside from that I stay stock.
