How are any gun laws going to prevent this?

Yet a 17-year-old attacker had “a revolver, a pistol, a hunting rifle, and two grenades” on his person at the high school in Grasse.

Would a high school that taught marksmanship and had a locker full of 22 rifles be a less likely target for the demented or terrorists?

IMHO, along with you have stated, a school where the teachers, the administrators, the security personnel etc. were trained/armed would likely be a deterrent and make a school a less likely target for a terrorist. If nothing else, the terrorist could/would be taken out much more quickly rather than having to wait on 911.

They need stricter "anti-grenade" laws, apparently..

Dang, where would one get grenades? I need a few grenades,......you know, for Science and stuff.....
