🤨I don't believe. That's why I am asking THE MASTER ... 🤷🤷
I own 2 of them and have had to work on both of them. I was a HVAC journeyman. He may make the chamber and incorporate the freezer and vacuum port and drain. But getting the programed part will be his problem. It's really not rocket science if you understand how temperatures react in a vacuum. I'm computer illiterate so maybe he can figure out how to program it.
There is/was a guy on YouTube that may/ may not that did repairs for harvest right that put some good information and some terrible information out in his videos.

I am sure you seen this. This guy covers it pretty well.

A link from the link you provided.
I think that whole freeze drying is neat but I do not see a real need for it.
Kind of like multiple firearms.
Yes I have multiples but for survival or bug out 2 may be all you take.
Are you going to pack all that food you dried?

Or will you scrounge and kill some suckas for their food.
It's a neat novelty thing.
Pressure canned foods have worked for a long time.

Anything can be home built if you have the time and want to bad enough.

I was told I could not build my own bullet mold.
I had a drill and a saw and some thick aluminum and built one.

My desire for the freeze dryer was not for survival. Canned goods take up a lot of space and you have to protect them from freezing and breaking. Seals can fail . I freeze dried a lot of beef that was in the freezer that was getting close to freezer burn to extend the use of it. Freeze drying gives you other options on preservation. Dehydrated is nothing like freeze dried. It's about what I can do to preserve what I grow to maximize the way to extend the use of it.

Yeah ... I didn't remember this thread until 2ftgd linked it. And I was mostly just interested in your take. I already have a freeze dryer, a dehydrator, and a couple of canners that don't get used near often enough. I think when this remodel is over, I be more inclined to grow and buy enough to use them all because everything will have a dedicated home. And I will have the shelves to put it all up without it looking like squatters have taken over my home and used it for Party Central.
