Just kind of wondering if anyone still plays old school table top (or pen and paper) rpgs still. I was messing around trying to put Dungeons and Dragons online on my linux box and was just kind of curious.

Here is a quick list of games I have played:
Dungeons and Dragons (the red box version)
AD+D (2nd eddition)
Twilight 2000
Cyberpunk
Shadowrun
Boot Hill (wish i still had that one)
Robotech
Star Wars (yes there was a role playing game)
Rift

I think that is most of them.

And no I did not wear a black trench coat in high school.

I occasionally do a D&D game with friends based off of the original, early 1970s version. It makes me happy to use Chuck Norris, my ranger.

Not in a long time, we used to play AD&D, Travellers, Car Wars and I.C.E.'s MERP.

Wish I still had my First edition Deities and Demi Gods with the Cthulu and Melbonian gods in it.

As nerdy as it sounds this is quite appealling to me. I would be interested.
Think there has been a rebirth of old school AD&D,Warhammer, etc. RPG's with the resurgance of World of Warcraft.
I also enjoyed painting the pewter desktop figures.

I played AD&D 2nd ed "Dark Sun" setting, Warhammer, Heroquest and Blood Bowl back in high school.
It wasn't so great for meeting girls so I switched to music.

Up until about the time AD&D 3ed hit, I pretty much played anything that came out (used to have boxes full of books and sets): Shadowrun, Twilight 2000, Dark Conspiracy, Warhammer (both 40,000 and the FRP version), Call of Cthulhu, Traveller, Any of the superhero packages, Judge Dredd (the old GW version, NOT the D20), Cyberpunk, GURPS, Car Wars, TMNT...
