Taurus 431...

[Glock 'em down]

Anybody own one?

This is sorta like Taurus' answer to the Smith & Wesson model 696...and L framed, 5 shot revolver, 3 inch snout, chambered in .44 Special.

I know a guy who has one for $400. Are they any good?

You've said often that you really aren't an " L " frame kind of guy. So what has you looking at a bigger handful?

It's a chunk to schlep around (says the girl who carried one in her purse for a while.) But a lot of fun to shoot.

Taurus revolvers are OK... if you get a good one. That would make a fun toy to have around. For $400... whats not to like?

Sometimes I get the itch for a 44 Special... just have not found the "right" pistol to scratch with yet.
