If they would keep the rails in shape and up to par, we wouldn't have so many train derailments.
Remember in days of old they would remove the old railroad ties that were still in good enough shape to be functional, throw them to the side and put in new ties? Did you ever hear of a derailment back then?

Just because you're not seeing it doesn't mean they're not doing it. There are definitely places where they're not maintaining the rails like they should, but I've seen a lot of rail maintenance being done in Oklahoma. In fact, they just had the railroad crossing in Kiefer closed for maintenance the weekend before last.
