Trapdoor Springfield rifle, 45-70, nicely refinished metal including re-case coloring the breechblock. Nice bore (.451 pin gauge just fits). Stock has old chips (not uncommon) on either side of tang. Buffington rear sight. Serial number suggests 1878 manufactured action, with 1884 low arch breechblock and 1889 cartouched stock. I've shot some nice 100 yard groups using cast bullets and light smokeless loads but I've gotten to where I can't see the sights and I don't want hack up what is a nicely redone shooter. Can meet in Sand Springs or Edmond.

What's the barrel length?

31 1/4 “ to front of receiver, adding the threads inside the receiver should bring it up to the 32 1/2” standard rifle length.
